In Japan, the year – financial and school – start in Apr. Cherry Blossom time.
School starts its new grade from Apr. We have a short spring brake. Generally, its last week of Mar. and first week of Apr.
Graduates start work from Apr.
In corporate world, employee will/may get the new position from Apr. You may find this strange. In Japan, generally people work for company (and not position) . People chose company to work for and not for the position. Company – in this case, HR and management will move employee from one position to other position. To my surprise, it can happen like from Back end operation position to marketing position and to production.. This may come with the relocation too.
So in Japan, huge number of people – students and corporate people will do relocate.
Yesterday at night like 11 pm in the train and the station. Everywhere was packed with people – from young students to elderly man and woman. All faces are red and chatting little bit louder and full of smiles.
When I looked at them, it reminded me that – oh its end of March. Season of Farewell.
