There are things I would like to pursue. I have been meeting as many people as possible to sharpen up my idea. Then I realised..person by person, their opinions are totally different.

Actually it is nothing new.

I have been away from Japan for half of my life. I have more exposure in the world but maybe less understanding of Japan. I have been working in global field in competitive environment and probably (definitely?) more aggressive and vocal than most of Japanese people.

When I spoke to my idea to a Japanese friend who has ever lived and worked in Shanghai and Singapore for several years, she said – good idea, go for it !

In other time, I spoke to a Japanese male who has lived and worked in South Asia and several other countries, he is now doing investor relations in listed company said – institutional investors always ask about it and that is needed in the market.

One day, I had a chance to speak to a Japanese male who has been dealing with Japanese companies’s top management in Japan for long as a headhunter, in the age of about late 60s. He was introduced by my friend. After I explained my back ground and my idea, he told me there is no one who has such an advanced idea and forget about it. He seems not recognising the global business environment and did not value my experience at all.

Many people around me are in trading business in the global field. There are very little people like him. I was so shocked to hear his opinion and I felt like what I have been doing in my life was denied as if big hummer hit my face straight from the front. Immediately after another thoughts flew into me. Actually, this is how majority of Japanese people think, they have been rooted strongly to this land, study, work and have been dealing with several other similar people. Did I ever thought of such idea exist ? – sadly, never.

Again, getting out from my contracted day to day work is actually giving me opportunity to getting to know the people and the world, how people think and how people lives.
